Privacy Policy
What we collect when you visit or book with us, and what we don't. Plainly, because a privacy policy nobody can read isn't much of one.
This policy covers suttermansion.com. Our booking engine, operated by Cloudbeds, is a separate service with its own privacy practices — see clause 3.
1. What This Site Collects
suttermansion.com does not run analytics, does not set marketing or tracking cookies, and has no newsletter or contact form currently collecting information. Browsing this site does not add you to any list or database we control.
Our hosting provider automatically logs standard technical information for every visitor — IP address, browser type, and the pages requested — the way essentially every website on the internet does. We do not use these logs for marketing and do not sell them.
2. If You Contact Us Directly
If you call, email or message us on WhatsApp, we receive whatever information you choose to share — typically your name, contact details, and the details of your question or stay. We use this only to respond to you and, if you're a guest, to help with your reservation.
3. Booking Through Cloudbeds
When you check availability or book a room, you leave suttermansion.com and complete your reservation on Cloudbeds' own site. Cloudbeds collects your name, contact information and payment details directly, and processes that information under its own privacy policy and security practices — we don't see or store your payment details ourselves.
The dates you select are passed to Cloudbeds as part of the link so your search carries over; no other information about you is sent.
4. Cookies
suttermansion.com does not set cookies of its own. If that changes — for analytics, for example — this policy and a cookie consent notice will be updated before those cookies are added, not after.
The map on Getting Here is our own drawing and loads nothing from anyone else. Below it is a button marked Load interactive map. Pressing that — and only pressing that — loads Google Maps, which sets Google's own cookies in your browser under Google's privacy policy, not ours. Nothing reaches Google before you press it, which is why this site asks you there rather than with a banner on arrival.
5. How Long We Keep Information
Information you send us directly (a call, an email, a WhatsApp message) is kept only as long as needed to answer you or fulfill your reservation, and is not shared with anyone outside Sutter Mansion except where the law requires it.
6. Your Rights
You can ask us at any time what information we hold about you from a direct communication, and ask us to correct or delete it. Contact the phone number or email address below to make that request.
7. Changes To This Policy
We may update this policy as the site or how we operate changes. The date above reflects the version currently in effect.
